Tuck Everlasting
This week, we are beginning a unit on Tuck Everlasting by Natalie Babbitt. At the beginning of the story, we meet Winnie. Winnie is an eleven year old girl who is faced with the choice of drinking from a spring that would allow her to live forever.
If you had the chance to stay young forever, would you take it? Why or why not?
If you did choose to drink from the spring, what age would you choose to do it? Why?

No, because I wouldn't get to meet God...and it would get kinda boring down here...and I would get to see my relatives in the sky.
ReplyDeleteBut, if I could live forever I would want to remain 22 because you're still young but you don't have to follow your parents rules. If you were in college you could drop out because you are old enough to, and you could still get out and go places.
Kacie,
ReplyDeleteI don't think I would choose to drink from the spring either. I agree that eventually things would get boring, and I think it would be kind of scary to know that you were somehow stuck here. However, if I stayed 22, I wouldn't drop out of college! You would have plenty of time to finish what you started before doing something else! What's your prediction about what Winnie will do?
I wouldn't won't to live forever because all my friends and family would die before me.
ReplyDeleteI would not drink out of that spring because living for ever is realy not fun cause you may become a hobo on the side of the street until the world ends.Another reason I could be sued untill the world ends.
ReplyDeleteI wouldn't drink out of the spring because I would get lonely.
ReplyDeleteIf I had a chance to live forever. I would not because. I would not because I would never see the good lord.
ReplyDeleteNeither would I.If I would of stayed ten,I wouldn't be able to go to colledge or graduating with my friends. And if I died I would be able to see all my pets that passed away.Anyway I would love to post again soon bye.
ReplyDeleteI think I would drink from the spring because I would like to not die.I would want to stay sixteen so I would have a car.But I would drop out of school because it would be bad to keep repeating school. But it would be ok not to go to heaven because you would have the good lord in your soul.It would be cool to get shot and have a bullet not hurt you go threw you.
ReplyDeleteIf I had a chance to live forever I would not take it, because I would like to grown up and not stay young forever, i would like to live a full life as a baby, kid, teenager, and an adult i don't want to be a kid forever.
ReplyDeleteI would drink the water from the spring at the age of 22. I would like to drink the spring water st the age of 22 because I would be able to drive.
ReplyDeleteI would not choose to live forever because eventually I would loose all my friends and family and I believe life would be lonley and boring.
ReplyDeleteI would not want to live forever because I wouldn't get to go to heaven and I would have to watch my friends die.
ReplyDeleteIf I had a chance to stay young forever I would not take it because I want to stay young and want to ride my horses
