The Westing Game

Hey guys!
This past week, we began a new novel in class called The Westing Game by Ellen Raskin. This is another one of my favorite books! You have been introduced to many new characters such as Grace, Turtle, Theo, Chris, Sandy McSouthers, Otis Amber, Crow, and many more.

1)

At this point, who do you think killed Sam Westing and why?

2)

Who do you think will become the winner of the Westing Game by solving the mystery?

  3. WHO I think killed Samuel W. Westing is Crow and Sydelle Palaskie because first for Miss Palaskie do you remember when we started reading the westing game their was a bet a dollar a minute two boys stayed in the westing house bout one minute later the two boys ran out one boy was screaming and he was screaming purple waves! At the will saramony she had some cruches not just any cruches purple wave cruches isn't that sort of acword, and she is writeing down the will. For Crow she is all mystrous she acts like she has done nothing and this may sound a little crazy but I have read a buntch of murder books they say the murder is in plain sight and it says what do you think Crow killed windy think Samuel W. Westing middle name may be WINDY! So you have my guess

  7. Great responses! I agree with all of you that some of the characters in this book are extremely weird and mysterious.

I was also thinking about Sydelle Pulaski's odd traits and about some of the things she has done throughout the story. Her behavior reminds me of one of our Words of the Day...eccentric. Do you remember that word? It means odd or peculiar. Sydelle is definitely a peculiar character with her crutches and behaviors.

    Keep reading! Enjoy!
